Mirjana obtained her PhD in 2018 in the field of pharmacogenetics in cardiovascular diseases at IMGGE. After joining dr Kojic’s team, she started to investigate the role of muscle ankyrin-repeat proteins in cardiomyopathies and in response to chemotherapeutics, mastering techniques and methods for studying proteins. Last two years she has been dedicated to bioinformatics and programming skills in R and Python. During the COVID-19 pandemics Mirjana was engaged in Huo-Yan national laboratory for molecular detection of infectious agents and continues to work on virus sequencing and data analysis. She has excellent organization skills and has been active in projects of promotion and popularization of science. Besides science, Mirjana enjoys tango dancing, hiking and traveling.
